For Christmas 2016, Neighbour to Neighbour Centre will provide support for around 1,600 families who cannot afford food and children’s gifts for the holidays.
What does our Christmas Program include?
Support from the community allows us to provide families with
- Food for the holidays
- Grocery store gift cards
- Gifts and stocking stuffers for kids (12 and under)
- Other comforts and treats for the holiday season such as personal care products and sweets
If you would like to donate to our Christmas Program, please click here to visit the How to Give page.
How do you register for our Christmas Program?
We serve the Hamilton Mountain, Stoney Creek mountain and surrounding areas. Registration takes place Monday, October 4th through the end of November at our Food Bank. Food Bank hours are as follows:
Mon – Wed: 9:30 – 3:30 pm
Thursdays 12:30 – 7:30 pm
New shoppers need to provide ID for all household members along with proof of address and income.
We serve all families needing our support so there is no need to rush in to register.
How does a family receive Christmas support?
In December, we will transform our Food Bank Free Grocery Store into a Christmas Food Bank and host a pop-up Christmas Toy Store at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church for families and individuals to shop for the holidays. Dates for food and toy shopping are selected by shopper when they register. Here are more details on our Christmas services:
